David Childs Ltd. is a civil engineering consultancy specialising in bridge design and bridge assessment.

This Website was launched in 1998 by David Childs and has developed as a result of requests for information about bridge related subjects. The bridge design and bridge assessment standards used in the examples and tutorials are BS 5400 and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
